எகிப்து - 08 - ப்பிலே கோவில்

ப்பிலே கோவிலும் அஸ்வான் அணையும் எங்க பட்டியலேயேயில்லை என்றாலும், கைரோ இரயிலுக்கு போதுமான நேரமிருந்ததால தனிய வன்டியக்கட்டிகிட்டு கிளம்பினோம். ப்பிலே கோவிலின் தாமரை உருவ தூண்கள் நைல் நதியின் நடுவில் நட்டுவைத்து போலிருந்தது, காரணம் இந்த ப்பிலே கோவில் இடம் பெயர்ந்திருப்ப்து ஒரு அழகான தீவில். நாற்பது எகிப்பிய பவுண்டுக்கு நுழைவு சீட்டு வாங்கினாலும், மேலும் 40 பவுண்டு செலவில் படகு சவாரியின் முலமாக தான் இந்த கோவிலை அடைய முடியும்.

நைல் நதியில் மிதப்பது போலிருக்கும் இந்த கோவிலை படகிலிருந்து பார்க்கும் போதே அற்புதமாக இருந்தது. மறையும் சூரியனின் கதிர்கள் உயரும் தூண்களை தழுவவிளைந்த நிழல்கள், புற்றீசல் மாதிரி பணிகள் கூட்டமில்லாம் அமைதியான கோவில் வாளகம்,ஜொலிக்கும் நைல் நதியின் காட்சிகள்னு இன்னும் காரணங்கள் அடுக்கி கொண்டே போகலாம், எகிப்த்தில் பார்த்த இடங்களிலேயே இதை வசிகரமான இடமென்று சொல்வதற்கு.


கடந்த இரண்டு நாட்களில் மட்டும் மொத்தம் ஐந்து கோவில்களை பார்த்துவிடோம், ஆனால் அதன் ஒவ்வொன்றின் எழிலும் தனித்துவம் நிறைந்திருந்து. வசிகரமான மற்றும் எளிமையான ஹட்ஸெட்புட், பிரம்மாண்டமான கர்னாக், நிலவின் மின்னிய லுக்ஸ்ர், இமலாய ரமஸஸ் சிலைகளோடு காட்சியளித்த அபு ஸிம்பல், நைல் நதிக்கரையில் நிழலோடு வீற்றிருந்த ப்பிலேனு எல்லா இடங்களுமே அழகான கவிதைகளாக நேற்றைய நினைவுகளில் என்றும் நிலைத்திருக்கும்.

Egypt - 08 - Philae Temple

Our trip to Philae temple is an special addition to our itinerary; since we had surplus time before rail to Cairo, we helped ourselves to visit Aswan high dam and this Philae temple. The finely carved papyrus and lotus columns of the philae temple seems to be planted in the middle of Nile; yes, its an esthetic island temple. We got the entry tickets for 40 egp, but the tricky part here is the cost for the felucca to dock us in the island is another 40 egp + bahsis (tips in arabic).

Its a pleasant sight to see the philae temple floating on Nile as our felucca sails towards it. The arching sun implanting the shadows of the huge pillars, its under crowded and calm courtyards, glimpse of sparkling ripples on Nile, I can mine more reasons but to say in simple, its the romantic place that I have visited in Egypt.

For the last two days we have visited five temples on our ways, each had its own flavor and melody in its art. Mesmerizing simple and elegant Hatshetput, Mighty Karnak, Illuminated and Gorgeous temple of Luxor, Majestic abu simbel with its colossal statues of Ramses, nile side philae reinforced with aesthetic shadows ... all will leave a wonderful memory.
