எகிப்து முதல்ல எங்களுக்கு அறிமுகப்ப்டுதினது மெம்பிஸ். மேம்பிஸ் தான் பன்டைய எகிப்தியர்களேட தலைநகரமுன்னு படிச்சிருக்கேன், ஆனா இப்ப அது ஒரு சின்ன கிராமம் மாதிரிதான். அதோட புகழெல்லாம் இறந்த காலத்துல தான், இப்ப அங்கயிருக்கறது உடைந்த சிலைகளை தொகுத்து வைச்சுயிருக்குற அருங்காட்சியகம் மட்டும் தான். இதுக்கு ஒருத்தருக்கான நுழைவுக் கட்டணம் 50 எகிப்த்திய பவுண்டு. உள்ள போனவுடனே முதல்ல கண்ணுல்ல படறது இரண்டாம் ராமஸஸோ இமலாய சிலை தான், அடுத்து நிக்கறதும் அதே ராமஸஸோ சிலை தான் அப்பறம் கீஷால இருக்குற மாதிரி ஒரு ஸ்பிங்க்ஸ் சிலை, அதுக்கப்பறம் இங்க பாக்கறத்துக்கு ஒண்ணுமில்ல. அடுத்து நாங்க சந்திச்சது பிரமிடுக்கெல்லாம் முன்னொடியா சக்காராவிலயிருக்கற ஸ்டெப் பிரமிட் ..!!!

Egypt - 01 Memphis

Egypt first introduced Memphis to us. I have read Memphis as the capital of ancient egypt but now it is as little as a hamlet. Memphis and its glory were only written its past but now nothing remains except a museum with broken state and ruins. For that the entry ticket cost us around 50 EGP per person. The first thing that will caught your eye in that place is the mammoth broken status of Ramses II, then the big standing statue of the same guy and a sphinx similar to the one in front of the great pyramids. Nothing much here to spend more than a hour here, may be Memphis is too old to attract my me. From here we started to meet Step pyramid in Saqqara, the forefather for the idea of pyramids.
